Glengarry Glen Ross

Times are tough in a Chicago based real estate office. The salesman are involved in a little sales competition. First prize: a Cadillac, second prize: a set of steak knices, third: the sack. There is no room for losers in this dramatically masculine world, only “closers”.

This play is what David Mamet is all about: language. Beautiful written words that perfectly show the anxiety and hostility that goes with the job of a salesman. Four people are competing to become alpha dog and this toxic business culture corrupts the office from within.
